Thanks to all who joined us for a great conversation with Kya Mangrum (U-M PhD '14; Asst. Prof Univ. of Utah)

A Lunch Conversation with Kya Mangrum
From U-M to Utah: Visual Studies & Professionalization

5769 Haven Hall (someplace new!)
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

In this informal conversation over light lunch, Kya will discuss her current research on intersections between U.S. narratives of slavery and photography, and how it grew out of work she began as a graduate student. Kya is also very happy to talk about professionalization opportunities, think with us about what it means to do visual studies work in text-based fields, and/or share a few stories from her experiences teaching and researching at U-M.
